Two weeks until No Kings 3!

In two weeks, we will take to the streets again and join the entire nation and much of the world in protesting the incompetent, corrupt and murderous Trump regime.
The main protest will take place at Government Plaza at 205 Government Street, but as in the past, I expect we will line up on both sides of Government, and I am hoping we will have so many people that the line will reach Spanish Plaza!
If you will sign up beforehand, that will give us some idea of how many to expect (although signing up is entiredly optional).
In Mardi Gras Park, we will have snacks and water and music and portapotties, and we will be joined by local progressive groups who will tell you about their work and what you might do to advance the cause. We will publish the list when all have confirmed.
We have some challenges for those of you planning to attend:
Please commit to bringing TWO friends who have never done this sort of thing before. We need to swell the ranks of those who will actively resist the destruction of our democracy, and a huge, joyful protest is a good way to invite people in.
Please leave the protest with at least one action item, something to DO after the excitement has died down a bit but as the work continues. We will have smaller action items for you, like writing Postcards for Democracy (starter kits available!), leafletting materials to help educate the public, ways to promote 5Calls and Resistbot to your friends and family, and talking points on the importance of voting in every election. Or maybe you feel ready to take on a larger challenge, like volunteering to host a One Million Rising event, joining the Quarterly Study Club, door-knocking for a progressive candidate, organizing boycotts, or supporting our brand new food pantry in Mobile. Whatever turns out to be right for you, we can get you started!
And beforehand, could you please promote this newsletter to at least THREE friends whom you think would want to join the effort? Content is always free, and it is the best way for us to get information out to as many people as possible. We have 682 subscribers right now, and I greedily want 750 by the time NO Kings 3 wraps up! Please also encourage people to follow our Facebook page. (1.7K followers right now; can we get to 2,000?!)
Note: Indivisible Baldwin County will hold their No Kings 3 protest from 2:30 - 4:30 on the same day. Make it a two-protest March 28!
